The Zen-inspired porch smoothly transitions the outdoor brick wall into the foyer of the house by introducing a vertical side window and the L shaped lighting sculpture wall. By adding transom, sidelites and the side window, the foyer now lets in more natural light to brighten up the area.

The exterior wall is made of hand-stained pine wood to go along with existing bricks. The rustic concrete steps are lit by motion activated hidden LED strips that automatically lights up at night when visitors approach.

The automation of the house is linked to several cameras, sensors and Wi-Fi switches, all controlled by a wall-mount iPad.
